Flippin' Anxiety

I'm having job anxiety.

No, not that I might lose my job because, let's face it, this place would shrivel up and die without me here and that's the truth.

Now I could spin you a sweet little tale on how I feel about practically running this place while the person who makes three flippin' times what I make spends the majority of the work week still trying to figure out how email works. I could do that, but my mom told me I should not say swears on my blog because it makes me seem "low class" so I will not talk about that particular element of my job right now.

No, that's not it either.

Here's what is giving me job anxiety:

My desk.

I like my desk clean. I like it organized. I like everything put away. I don't like this. It's making me brain-hurty. And it's making me unfunctiony. And it's making me anxiousy. And it's making me ADDy. And it's making me blogging-instead-of-workingy.

Hi Kim,

I hope it doesn't freak you out that I am commenting, but you sent me a link to your blog awhile go. (The PDF / puff entry.) E-mail can be very challenging for older generations. I still remember my grandmother's fascination with a fax machine. She kept asking me how the paper got to the other place... I just shook my head.

Love your blog! (Especially love that you have the exact same comic that I posted today on my blog...I took it off of someone else's blog.)

Be patient - everything will work itself out.

Why don't you just clean your desk off?

Hey look! It's my two favorite Amie/Amys!

Amie, thanks for the encouragement.

Amy, why don't YOU clean off your desk?

Makes me miss workng! If I could afford daycare for three kids I would probably get a part time one.

I can relate. I start with a clean desk on Monday...my week bogs down by Wednesday when it gets piled up...and it takes me until Friday to clean it up again. I'm always so scatterbrained on Wednesdays.

I generally blog at work, rather than work. It's works out nicely for me. So far.
